Court Settles Right to Purchase Office Tower

On September 27, 2013, Justice Horner settled a longstanding dispute regarding the entitlement of competing parties to purchase the Encana Place office tower in downtown Calgary.  Guided by established principles of contractual interpretation, Justice Horner decided the dispute in favour of Encana Corporation, which now enjoys a priority right to acquire the office tower.  Encana was successfully represented in the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench by Lowell Westersund, Matt Lindsay and Jordan Milne.
